Terms of Use
The terms that apply when you use this website.
Pre-launch draft. These terms are being reviewed by qualified advisers before bookings and payments open. The final Terms of Use, Match Booking Terms and Cancellation, Change and Refund Policy will be published and presented at checkout before any payment is taken.
1. Who these terms are with
This website is operated by SOFF Overseas Cricket Club (“SOFF OCC”, “we”, “us”), a SOFF Global initiative. Using this website means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. What this website is
This website publishes information about SOFF OCC cricket fixtures, playing levels, group cricket and related services, and lets you register interest, subscribe to a newsletter and contact us.
Nothing on this website is an offer to form a contract. A booking is formed only through the booking process, against the fixture terms displayed at that time.
3. Fixture information
- Each fixture shows its playing level, format, general location, price, status, participation threshold and confirmation deadline.
- “Open for Booking” means the fixture is not yet confirmed. Do not make non-refundable arrangements that depend solely on an unconfirmed fixture.
- Availability, venues, formats, playing conditions and services are subject to confirmation and may change.
- We take care to keep fixture information accurate, and we correct errors as soon as we find them. Where a published price or detail is obviously wrong, we may correct it and will tell anyone already booked.
4. Player Accounts
- A verified Player Account is required to participate in a fixture.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account, including your playing levels and anything relevant to safe participation.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential.
- An account does not guarantee acceptance into a particular fixture. SOFF may recommend another fixture or decline a placement for safety or match balance.
- We may suspend or close an account for inaccurate information, non-payment or conduct that breaches these terms or the booking terms.
5. Cricket outcomes
SOFF does not promise runs, wickets, a particular batting position, a fixed number of overs or a particular result. We do promise to organize each confirmed fixture in good faith, match standards as responsibly as possible and communicate material changes promptly.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this website to:
- submit false, misleading or someone else’s information;
- interfere with the site’s operation or security, or attempt to gain unauthorized access;
- scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site for a competing service; or
- send unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or harassing content through any form on the site.
7. Intellectual property
The SOFF name and logo, this website’s text, design, artwork and code belong to SOFF or its licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own non-commercial use. Any other use needs our written permission.
8. Third-party links
Where we link to another site — for example a messaging service, a payment provider or a travel supplier — we do not control that site and are not responsible for its content or its terms.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the website available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it.
10. Our responsibility
We provide the website’s information in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website information rather than on the fixture page, the booking terms and the confirmation you receive. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Bookings, cancellations and refunds
Bookings are governed by the terms shown at checkout, summarized in plain language on the Booking Policies page. Where the two differ, the terms shown at checkout apply.
12. Travel responsibility
Match availability, venues, formats, playing conditions and services are subject to confirmation. Players are responsible for passports, visas, travel insurance, medical fitness and compliance with applicable travel requirements. Full booking terms apply.

14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will publish the current version on this page. The version in force when you make a booking applies to that booking.
15. Law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law identified in the final published version, which is under review. Fixtures are staged in Sri Lanka and are subject to Sri Lankan law and to the rules of the grounds and competitions involved.
